Fruit / Labor

This collection of works was developed in response to an exhibition which aimed to reflect on the fraught but pivotal period of Florida’s history and economy that saw citrus dominate the lives and landscape of the region. All of these works were made using heirloom, common or wild varieties of pomelo, orange and grapefruit that were foraged from trees still fruiting in the greater Orlando area.
